- Beautiful and unique agroturisme hotel
- Stunning country setting
- Wonderful views
- Peaceful and tranquil
- Close to pretty Búger
Son Pons is an enchanting 11-room agroturisme located on a vast private estate just outside Búger village. The estate is owned by the charming Siquier family, who restored their 16th-century finca with enormous care, and now pour the same energy and dedication into caring for their guests. The original buildings date back to the 1500s and a real sense of history pervades in its rough stone walls, ancient wooden beams and hefty arched doorways. Beyond the finca, the estate extends over 150,000m², with glorious country views and the UNESCO-classified Tramuntana mountains forming a spectacular backdrop. Whether you come for a romantic break, a walking trip or a relaxed family holiday, the feeling of space, peace and well-being in this magical spot is simply addictive
The Son Pons estate enjoys protected status as a wildlife sanctuary, with its own olive groves producing high quality oil for the hotel kitchen. As befits an agroturisme establishment, tasty local produce is all part of the Son Pons experience, so you can start your day with a rich buffet breakfast, with light snacks available at lunch and through the afternoon. Dinner is a romantic, candle-lit affair served in the courtyard; meals are home-cooked to order with fresh ingredients sourced daily, so you’ll need to book for dinner by lunch time if you plan to eat in. Nearby Búger has a couple of restaurants of its own too, and even if you prefer to dine at Son Pons, it’s worth spending some time taking in the authentic atmosphere of this pretty country village, which is well off the usual tourist trail.
Once you’re feeling deeply relaxed after a few days by the pool in the friendly care of Inès, Christophe and the team, you might like to explore the old towns of Pollensa and Alcúdia, each a leisurely 15-minute drive. Playa de Muro – 6km of pristine pale sand and turquoise water – is around the same distance away. For a gently pampering break as a couple, with family or with friends, Son Pons offers an indulgent alternative to a villa holiday in one of the most tranquil parts of the island.

This is the first time I've used Simpson Travel. The whole experience, from my initial enquiry, booking, the App with everything I needed on it, the travel arrangements, car hire, and the hotel; all resulted in a wonderful stress free holiday. I usually do all the planning and preparing myself, on this holiday Simpsons did all the work. We loved the hotel and the location.
San Pons is a really lovely place where it is possible to fully relax. The food in the restaurant is superb - we ate in a number of other places, all good but San Pons was the best
Location was central enough to visit all coasts, the hotel was fascinating with its history and was completely peaceful, making the stay so relaxing . However, as a couple we were able to enjoy horse riding, bird watching on the Nature Reserve, visiting caves and gardens and exploring the capital using a Segway, so we didn’t sit around for long. Paella night at the hotel was special and Susanne’s recommendations for other eateries when the restaurant was closed meant we were able to savour other cuisine and foods . Loved it all.
Son Pons offered a haven of peace and tranquility. Surrounded by nature and away from the bustle of nearby resorts, we were able to thoroughly relax and enjoy the holiday. Susanne, our local rep, was great. Her recommendations were excellent and we really felt that she wanted to do as much as she could to ensure that we were looked after; a real asset to Simpson Travel.
Absolutely delightful. Maika could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Accommodation was very pleasing, and one of the highlights of the holiday was sitting out the back watching the sun go down over the mountains (Room 7). Very comfortable nice big bed, spacious rooms, gushing shower, super quiet. We had a very nice meal at the hotel on our first night. Paella night on Wednesday could not have been a nicer evening. Appreciated the tables set up inside as it was chilly when the sun went down. Good opportunity to chat to our fellow travellers, everyone was so pleasant, staff and guests alike, we had a wonderful relaxing evening. Crystal clear pool and beautifully clean, as was the little shower room, with pretty well-kept garden. Simpson Towels were a great addition, absolutely loved that little touch. Breakfast was perfect, couldn’t ask for more, I loved the little croissants and I loved the Bucks Fizz.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Son Pons. The welcome was warm and Maika was so helpful and personable. Amaka did a great job in the kitchen and worked so hard, ably assisted by Mohammed. If only the weather had been better!
This hotel is a one off. In the middle of the countryside, surrounded by very little and a mile from the nearest very small village. The accommodation is excellent, the staff are wonderful and the food very good. Particular reference should be made to the cook who is a star.
The setting of Sons Pons is idyllic. A really tranquil feel to the place. Marike and Ameka at Sons Pons were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Sarah our local concierge was always on hand and responded immediately when a particularly worrying situation occurred.
The overall service from Simpsons from start to finish was none other than excellent. I have never been so impressed. The Sales team when organising the holiday was exceptional. On arrival we were met by Barbara who handed us the keys to our hire car. We were contacted during our stay by Sarah who was so helpful. The staff at Son Pons were unbelievable. Maika and Amaka made our stay beyond incredible. The service of ALL staff there was impeccable. The location was beyond our wildest dreams......quiet, peaceful and spectacular views. The mood at Son Pons is just dreamy - whilst there is always somebody there to help, you can relax in the incredible surroundings without being disturbed. We would without doubt use Simpsons again as they made the whole journey and holiday effortless. Everything was organised. If you want peace, tranquility, beautiful rooms, views to die for and wonderful food with incredible customer service then this is the place for you! A dream holiday......I fell in love with it!
A beautiful old building, delightfully restored into a small hotel in a superbly peaceful location. A joy to return from the towns & beaches to such tranquillity. All the staff at Son Pons were so friendly, kind & helpful providing me with gluten free meals at both breakfast & dinner. The food was delicious. Our grateful thanks to all, we had a wonderful holiday.
This is an excellent hotel. Sited in the countryside near Buger, this is a great place to stay for a week or so.
A lovely old finca converted into 11 rooms in various buildings around the area. The breakfast area had lovely views over the mountains and the restaurant was delightfully situated in the courtyard. The pool was always very clean and there were plenty of sunbeds and parasols. The friendly staff spoke very good English and were very helpful, particularly with booking restaurants. We found the location very good for exploring the mountains and beaches of the NE area of the island. All in all, we had a lovely holiday at Son Pons.
The hotel was lovely especially the pool environment. The food delicious particularly the beef carpaccio. The Paella evening was superb and great fun.
markfxmzdbq2c" Son markcfemqi05v" Pons is an excellent Agriturismo Finca, unpretentious with good facilities and really caring staff, especially Maika, Amaka and the owner's markfxmzdbq2c" son Marc - all of whom went out of their way to help and advise.
Just back from Son Pons Mallorca - what can I say!! Excellent Simpsons Travel very professional from start to finish. Rep. Very knowledgeable. Service at hotel excellent. Would definitely recommend and will be going back.
Relaxing hotel in an idyllic setting. We particularly enjoyed eating dinner on the terrace with the personal attention from the chef, rarely found these days. An excellent choice for anyone wishing to visit an area of Mallorca that remains unspoilt.
Simpson Travel gives good customer service and we would use them again. The Son Pons is a haven and we’d happily go back there. The food is marvellous and the staff attentive and friendly. Its location is just beautiful and peaceful and we had a marvellous time – thank you !
We had the misfortune to have our inbound flight cancelled by EasyJet due to bad weather – there was absolute chaos in Palma airport – however within minutes Sonia Blagg appeared and took us straight out of the chaos. At the same time Rosie Springett was on the phone to me from the UK arranging alternative flights and accommodation. I cannot speak highly enough of the “rescue operation” that was deployed by Simpson via Sonia and Rosie. Sonia took us to a quiet part of the airport and got us seated and fetched us drinks and within a very short space of time Rosie had us booked on flights and on our way to our hotel for the night. The other thing I found exceptional was the speed with which we were reimbursed for the expenses we incurred through the flight cancellation. We very rarely use travel agents for our European holidays but this experience has shown us the value of using one and Simpson, you were nothing but outstanding and we thank you.
Overall we had a very enjoyable holiday at Son Pons. The hotel is situated in a rural area within easy reach of the majority of the island and in a very peaceful setting. There are some excellent restaurants within an easy drive of the hotel. The hotel also offers lunch and dinner some evenings including a paella demonstration cooked by Amaka which was very good indeed and allowed the guests to get to know each other.
The Son Pons Hotel is ideal for guests who want some peace and quiet, surrounded by pretty countryside and a garden full of fruit trees laden with figs, limes and other fruit in season. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful and the hotel is situated within easy distance of many places of interest, restaurants and the sea. We felt very rested at the end of our 2 week break. Thank you to all the staff there - you are all treasures!
Lovely hotel and great overall experience.
Never have we known holiday accommodation that offers such a tranquil location. Oh how we miss those mornings on the terrace, enjoying breakfast, the peace only disturbed by the occasional birdsong or chicken. Bliss!
The hotel itself was wonderful – quite, beautifully kept with lovely private room and terrace. Poolside was warm and clean – fellow guests friendly and quiet themselves. Paella night was a great success – cooked via a demo in front of our eyes over a Sangria or two. Overall – as our first experience of Simpson Travel – we have come home as big fans and hope to use you again in the future.
We had an excellent holiday at Son Pons Hotel. The location of the hotel was excellent and everything else about it made for a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
All the reps at the airport and the staff at the hotel were so helpful and friendly – made our holiday.
We much enjoyed our stay at the very pretty Son Pons Hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the position was good for visiting the island.
Lovely little hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff. Could not fault it!
Our week at the Son Pons Hotel was very enjoyable, made even more so because of the beautiful surroundings and excellent staff. Our suite was extremely comfortable and we could not tire of the view from our balcony.
Son Pons is a Mallorquín rural idyll – tranquil and characterful. The food is really very good and home cooked to order. The special paella night ‘theatre’ cooked by Amaka was excellent and a work of art and of taste. The hotel's position in quiet countryside, but only 20 minutes’ drive to the coast is perfect for getting out and about and for speedily returning to rest after a busy day. The hotel staff are all very good and cheerful. Amaka and Miranda are very good hosts. I would also add that the car rental booking, pick-up and return arrangements were the easiest, slickest and best I have ever experienced in my world travels. Graham Leonard, the Simpson Travel representative at Búger, was also very helpful and friendly.
We really enjoyed the rural setting of the Son Pons Hotel and we felt instantly at home. It was lovely to see the sun come up over the mountains. I enjoyed wandering around the fields, olive groves and orchards before breakfast looking for hoopoes. There was a great choice at breakfast with plentiful and tasty dinners in the evening. How relaxing to sit in the courtyard under the vines in the evening with a vase of freshly picked bougainvillea on the table. It was good to come back to the hotel after a busy day on the beach or exploring the pretty towns nearby and then cool off with a dip in the pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Our choice of Mallorquín properties is as diverse as the island itself, ranging from simple seaside charm to comfortable and stylish. Much of our portfolio is privately owned, and price alone is therefore not a universal guide. We contract all our accommodation in person, and each property has its individual appeal.
To help you make the right choice based on your own priorities, we have devised a simple grading guide to be considered in conjunction with each individual property description, awarding up to a maximum of five stars for the below categories.
