The wonderful views from this delightful villa are Chianti through and through – a patchwork of neatly cultivated vineyards and olive groves draped over gently rolling hills, with the towers of Siena in the distance. And being south facing, you’ll be bathed in Tuscan sunshine from dawn ‘til dusk.

La Casa dei Mandorli enjoys as romantic a setting as you could hope to find; a perfect bijou villa for two that you can’t help but fall in love with. The spacious living/dining area with its bold modern art and contemporary lighting makes the biggest impact, while interiors of soft cream with pale tiled floors, natural wood and delicate feminine touches in the lace trim of the fabrics and pretty knick-knacks show the tremendous care and attention to detail the owners Luca and Martina brought to realising their vision for this special place.

The villa is cleverly designed so only the back wall adjoins the owner's home allowing maximum privacy and as you sit on the stone terrace, listening to the gentle flow of water over the edge of the infinity pool, there’s nothing between you and that view. However, if you want advice on places to see, Luca and Martina are happy to offer you suggestions, as well as cook you a delicious dinner should you require one (payable locally).

The local area

For dining out or stocking up, there’s the tiny hamlet of Lecchi, 2km away, with a grocery store and wine bar/restaurant. Nearer still is Ama, which has a restaurant with wine cellars and wine tasting, although the region is full of opportunities for sipping Chianti Classico.

In typical Tuscan style, there’s also a beautiful medieval town not far away. About a 20-minute drive from Lecchi, Radda in Chianti dates from the 9th century. In July the Radda 1527 festival takes place there, with food stalls and historic re-enactments. It’s just one of the lively celebrations held over the summer, blessed as you are with a location tucked snugly between the Golden Triangle of San Gimignano, Siena and Florence, the latter just over an hour’s drive away.

This was our third visit to Casa dei Mandorli, it is fabulous, with Luca and Martina amazing hosts, helpful generous, attentive, but never intrusive.

Mrs Elizabeth Griffiths, September 2024

We had the most fantastic belated honeymoon in beautiful Case dei Mandorli. The villa is so peaceful, tranquil and magical with breaktaking views and an excellent infinity swimming pool overlooking the Tuscan countryside. The villa is ideally located close to some lovely towns, villages and wineries including Radda, Panzano, Lecchi and Siena. One is spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants, cafes, bars, wineries etc. We really didn't want to leave. Thank you so much to Luca and Martina for making our stay so special - for their generous hospitality and of course for the amazing produce from the villa garden, not to mention Luca's dad's delicious wine. They were on hand to assist and they often checked in with us by WhatsApp to ensure that we had everything we needed, but at the same time gave us complete privacy to fully enjoy the villa. Thank you as well to our brilliant travel concierge, Amanda, who provided great recommendations, make bookings for us and generally ensured that we had the best time possible. A truly wonderful stay - we will certainly be back.

Mr Tomos Jones, August 2024

Wonderful Villa with exceptionally a kind and welcoming host family. We really enjoyed staying in such a peaceful place. The outside area is very well laid out with lovely furniture and pool with fabulous views. The villa itself is very tastefully decorated and well maintained. A lovely location to explore Chianti. Highly recommended.

Mrs Kerry Hobbs, July 2024

Lovely clean villa with beautiful views. The owners were very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Very peaceful and quiet.

Mr John Vermeer, June 2024

The hosts were the most delightful and accommodating and made the holiday more enjoyable.

Mrs Judith Harper, June 2024

If you’re considering staying at La Casa dei Mandorli - book now! Luca and Martina are the perfect hosts, generous and welcoming. We could not believe how beautiful the view/vista is, it truly was the perfect accommodation for a week away as a couple. Great location for day trips to Siena, Panzano etc. Lots to see but also take the days to do nothing and sit by the pool listening to the birds and watching the sun…

Mrs Holly Guy, May 2024

This is a truly lovely villa, in a great location with beautiful views. It has been thoughtfully furnished with lots of nice little touches. The extra large bed was super comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and the furniture was tasteful, both in and out. We didn't want to leave.

Mrs Susan Hards, May 2024

Thank you for sharing your perfect escape with us! We managed to totally relax, rest and eat – not venturing far as we enjoyed the amazing views and local restaurants. How lucky to have Ristorante Malborghetto and an amazing chef just down the road! Sad to leave such an idyllic sanctuary.

Gail and Tim, July 2023

This was our first trip to Tuscany and it did not disappoint. The rolling hills, villages, vineyards and trees were more stunning than I thought they would be. The villa was amazing and Luca and Martina were lovely hosts providing us with fresh vegetables and a bottle of wine for their vineyard. A great holiday and we do expect to return again in the future.

Juliet Thorburn, July 2023

The perfect venue perfectly maintained so we went almost nowhere else!

The Hart family, July 2023

Thank you Alessandro and Nicoletta for a lovely stay in your beautiful house – especially for your warm welcome and generous meal. We have hugely enjoyed the excellent facilities provided. The swimming pool, patio areas and hot tub have all been thoroughly enjoyed. The villa is a lovely mix of modern comfort and traditional features with wonderful surrounding views of the beautiful Tuscan countryside. We have stayed in the villa more than we normally would, as it has been so relaxing. Nonetheless, we ventured to San Gimignano, Florence, Greve, Volpaia and Radda enjoying the smaller towns and villages the most. We hope to visit again – thank you for the beautiful villa and helpful service provided by Amanda.

The Knight family, June 2023

Thank you for sharing your perfect escape with us! We managed to totally relax, read and eat not venturing far as we enjoyed the amazing views and local restaurants. Sad to leave such an idyllic sanctuary.

Gail and Tim, June 2023

Thank you so much for opening up your beautiful home for us to enjoy and for your amazing hospitality (especially the birthday wine – grazie mille!). Whilst the weather was not perfect, nothing could dampen that amazing view. The villa made for a great base to explore the local area.

Phoebe and Elliot, May 2023

We have enjoyed a most wonderfully relaxing time AGAIN. I knew we would be back, we were spoilt last time and this time too! Sheer perfection.

Belinda and Richard, May 2023

From our arrival, which included being held up by a wild boar family crossing the road, to our departure, we have enjoyed a most wonderfully relaxing time – AGAIN. I knew we would be back – we were spoilt last time and this time too. Thank you Lucca, Martina, Vittoria and Luigi for all the delicious treats. Your hospitality is exceptional. It was so good to see you all again. Sheer perfection

Belinda and Richard, May 2023

A lovely peaceful location with great views. Good position to visit many other lovely locations in this part of Tuscany. We certainly went off the beaten track – ‘the road less travelled’ – as Simpson Travel wrote! Superb Tuscan fare made by our lovely hosts – Lucca and Martina – on the first evening.

Elizabeth and John, May 2023

A lovely peaceful location with great views. Good position to visit many other lovely locations in this part of Tuscany. We certainly went off the beaten track - the road less travelled, as Simpson Travel wrote!

Elizabeth and John, May 2023

Luca and Martina are wonderful hosts, amazing how thoughtful, kind and hospitable they are. This was our second visit, fabulous. Couldn't praise them highly enough, driving us home from dinner, lending my husband their daughter's guitar for the fortnight, the list is endless! Gifts of produce, home baking, helpful information.

Elizabeth Griffiths, August 2022

As always we enjoyed an excellent holiday with Simpson Travel. The villa was delightful, in beautiful surroundings and very well appointed. The owners were extremely friendly and hospitable. The information pack was comprehensive, accurate and useful. Simpson Travel’s App and Concierge service are both excellent and a differentiator. We will certainly book another holiday with Simpson Travel.

Colin Brereton, July 2022

This was our third stay at Casa del Mandorli and another perfect holiday with the beautiful view from the terrace and pool and our wonderful hosts, Luca and Martina. A relaxing time in Tuscany. Perfecto!

Michelle Wallis, June 2022

This is our third Simpson holiday and each time their customer service and choice of properties reminds us why we entrust them with one of our most important weeks of the year. Casa dei Mandorli in Tuscany was our favourite of all properties. Stunning views, a wonderful family living behind the property whose hospitality reminded you of how generous people can be. (Thank you to Luca, Martine, Vittoria and Luigi). We arrived as guests and felt we left as friends. Amanda, our concierge, was first class in responding to our questions and other things. Yet another superb holiday in every respect. When you book with this company you are in safe hands reassured that customer service really is their top priority and their choice of properties second to none.

Karen Askwith – via TrustPilot, September 2021

Thank you Luca, Martina, Vittoria and Luigi for giving us such a memorable holiday in your beautiful home. Your generosity in providing such a wonderful meal for us, as well as regular fresh vegetables from the garden, and of course the Vinsanto and the raspberry liquor, have made this the perfect escape from this plague-ridden world! The pool has been wonderfully refreshing during the day, set against the amazing view across the olive trees and vineyards, and at night has provided the perfect backdrop, with the calming light colour changes, to our evening meals. The different pace of life has helped us do less, and just be.

Fran & Andy Halstead, September 2020

The villa and setting were first class and the welcome and little touches and food gifts from Luca and Martina were the icing on the cake.

Nick & Bernie, September 2019

Thank you so much for the warm welcome as we arrived. Your family is so sweet and we he had an amazing time. Tuscany has had so much to offer us and we cannot wait to come back. This is truly a special place.

Sheridan & Blue, September 2019

Thank you so much for brilliant week! You could not have been more welcoming with so many lovely touches (Prosecco, basket of garden product and of course the delicous wine).

Chris & Cath, August 2019

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for an incredible week. We booked at the last minute but what a great choice it was. We have had such a relaxing and restorative stay which was made all the more special by your fantastic hospitality and warm welcome. We will never forget our first night here – sitting on the terrace with a beautiful sunset and the most delicious antipasti that you so kindly prepared for us. It is such a lovely memory and we are still talking about how delicious the courgettes bruschetta was! We were also so touched to receive the beautiful baskets of fresh fruit and vegetables from your vegetable garden and from your father’s house, not to mention the wine! We actually chose to stay at home and cook most nights as we wanted to use the fresh ingredients – so much flavour! Not even the rain on the last few days could dampen our spirits and we took some very dramatic photos of the storm. We enjoyed exploring Rada, Gaiole, Siena and taking a cooking class at Toscana Mia (very close) but still have so much to see and do, we wish we were here for a second week! We hope to come back again soon. Thank you again for everything and for our English/French/Italian chats.

Andrew & Rachael, August 2019

We really enjoyed stay at La Casa dei Mandorli. Lucca and Martina were excellent hosts and could not have done more to make us welcome. We are looking forward to going back.

Mr Yorke, July 2019

The accommodation and welcome from the owners exceeded our expectations.

Simpson Traveller, June 2019

La Casa dei Mandorli is a little piece of heaven nestled among Chianti's beautiful vineyards. If you want to get away from it all and de-stress then head for this wonderful peaceful villa with a breathtaking view you'll never want to look away from. The owners Martina and Luca make you feel part of the family but give you the space and solitude should you want it. We'll definitely return!

Mr & Mrs Edgson, June 2019

Treat yourselves! La Casa dei Mandorli has the most wonderful location with superb facilities, peerless hosts in Martina and Luca and a view that is intoxicating. We loved it!

Ken & Bernie, September 2018

Having travelled with Simpson Travel for the past five years, we were confident that our villa and location would be lovely. However, La Casa dei Mandorli exceeded all our expectations and we had the most relaxing and wonderful holiday that we have ever experienced. The villa and grounds are immaculate and, since it is nestled into the hills, surrounding vineyards and olive groves near the hamlet of Ama, we immediately felt part of rural Tuscan life. The view from the terrace is breathtaking and it was hard to tear ourselves away from it and the pool. A short drive away are the atmospheric and unspoilt villages and towns of Lecchi, Radda and Gaiole, where we enjoyed delicious meals in traditional restaurants and cafés. The most memorable meal was at the Castello di Ama restaurant, a short walk from the villa. We will also never forget the amazing cookery course in the restaurant in Lecchi – a fantastic experience! Numerous beautiful towns and the stunning city of Sienna are so easy to get to from the villa. A huge thank you to Luca and Martina who are the most welcoming hosts. Their hospitality was so generous. Cooking with Luca's vegetables from the garden was a delight. Thank you again to Simpson Travel for giving us yet another very special holiday.

Judith & Ian Wheeler, August 2018

Our villa hosts at La Casa dei Mandorli were very welcoming, knowledgeable of the location, helpful, always wanting to make sure you have a relaxing time. They are very kind and attentive. Both the hosts and their villa are a credit to Simpson Travel.

Michelle & Stewart, August 2018

We have totally fallen in love with Italy. The welcome we received at La Casa dei Mandorli was sublime. From booking the holiday to the departure, we felt in safe hands and knew we could expect a high standard with Simpson Travel.

Gary Hunter & Nichola Hicks, July 2018

We’ve experienced many beautiful views during our years of holidaying in Italy, but this was by far the best. Wherever you sat, inside or out, it was like looking at a perfect painting.

Mr & Mrs Morrow, June 2018

We went to Casa dei Mandorli for some well-needed chilled out time and our week was perfect in every way! Perfect villa, perfect hosts (thank you Luca, Martina and family), perfect scenery and for us, perfect weather. This place was definitely ‘a home from home’ but with the addition of a pool and incredible views. We would definitely visit again if the chance ever arises and will think of our stay with fond memories.

Angie & Simon, June 2018

We had a fantastic week in Casa dei Mandorli. Luca and Martina are wonderful hosts and couldn’t have been friendlier. We visited all the usual Tuscan favourites and a few not so common ones, such as Castiglione della Pescaia on the coast which is well worth a visit. Finally Lucca and Martina – thank you for your kindness and we hope to see you soon!

George & Gayle, May 2018

Casa dei Mandorli is lovely, with a view to die for! Luca and Martina were charming and really do go the extra mile for their guests. Sienna is inspiring, but not for the faint hearted. Go early for the Duomo and museum, but do take a walk in the gardens at the back of the University Music School. We liked the little places: San Gusmè which is perfect, quiet, unspoilt. Volpaia, Lecchi and Arezzo, which to our eyes, is more beautiful than Sienna.

Sheila & Brian, May 2018

All good things come to an end and having stayed in Casa dei Mandorli for two very happy weeks we will be sad to say goodbye. Martina and Luca were kind, considerate and generous and we enjoyed so much the delicious fruits and tomatoes they bestowed on us. The villa was just perfect in every way and a very good base to visit all the places we long wished to see. Tuscany more than lived up to our expectations and we are so glad we chose the Chianti area for this idyllic holiday. A big thank you Martina and Luca!

Emer and Paul, October 2017

Had the most amazing honeymoon, cannot thank Luca and Martina enough for their warmth and hospitality. They made us feel very at home from the moment we walked through the door. The villa was a lovely place to relax and enjoy the magnificent views, but also a good base to explore the surrounding area. Thank you again for a lovely holiday and look forward to coming back again in the future.

Kirsty & Andy, October 2017

Peter and I have had a lovely relaxing week here at Casa dei Mandorli. You have made us so welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed the wine, tomatoes and peaches – so delicious! We have visited lots of places – Siena, San Gimignano, Colle di Val d'Elsa, Radda and Castellina – all beautiful. Also enjoyed walks from your maps. Hope you have us back again.

Lesley & Peter, September 2017

What a wonderful stay at Casa dei Mandorli. A stunning villa and beautiful views. Memories that will last a lifetime. We took a bus from Radda to Siena on Palio di Siena day and enjoyed taking in the historic sights. A special thanks to Luca and Martina who made us feel most welcome. This is our second stay in Tuscany and we will definitely return. Grazie a te entrambie tanto.

Elaine & John, August 2017

We have had the most wonderful stay at Casa dei Mandorli. The villa and the grounds are impeccably kept and the view from the terrace is just perfect. Luca and Martina were fantastic hosts. We would love to come back here again.

David & Clare, August 2017

Luca and Martina, the owners of our beautiful villa went beyond our expectations, both with the accommodation, their friendliness, kindness and hospitality. We truly felt at home in their very romantic home. The views were stunning and the villages truly delightful. We hope to return.

Mr Davies, July 2017

Looks great on the website and the reality was even better. Quiet location with truly beautiful views, and everything about the property felt spacious and well cared for. The owners went the second mile to make us feel at home. The local grocery shop and restaurants were excellent. We certainly hope to return.

Mrs Morris, July 2017

Luca and Martina – Grazie Mille! Tutti perfetto. Vacanza memorabile. Wow! The villa is beautiful and everything is so relaxing. Kind and wonderful hosts. The local area is stunning. Visited Radda one afternoon, worth a visit, definitely. If you've not visited Siena, go – busy but always beautiful. It is very difficult to tear yourself away from the villa and pool here, but enjoy exploring if you do. Loved dinner here on the terrace in the evening. Make sure you cook with Luca's vegetables and herbs from the garden here – molto bene. We will definitely return here. To others, have a lovely holiday and enjoy your stay here.

Michelle & Stewart, July 2017

What a beautiful setting. The views are simply stunning. We wanted to 'get away' from it all – this villa certainly allowed us to do that. Thank you for your hospitality you were attentive but gave us the space we needed. Simply magical.

Bryony & Mathew, July 2017

What a wonderful stay in this delightful villa – such scenery – and the hosts Luca and Martina are lovely and yes the veggies are perfect – we just chilled for the whole week relaxing in the quiet!! Thank you once again. Goodbye Tuscany!

Sally and Ray, June 2017

We have enjoyed staying in this lovely villa – fantastic view, dawn to dusk, hot sunshine, and beautiful pool and landscaping. Nice to have such a cool interior after the heat of the day. We haven't ventured far from this paradise (why move?) but liked the sculpture park. The views at Panzano were amazing. And lovely little wine bar there overlooking the view; nice brown bread crostini. As others have said – Martina and Luca have been wonderful hosts and have made our week quite special – thanks so much!

Jeanette and Gordon, June 2017

We came to Tuscany as part of a holiday to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We arrived at Casa dei Mandorli after a frantic few days in Venice and quickly settled into the gentle pace and beauty of Chianti. We could not have been happier with our choice. The house is beautiful – and such a view! – and Luca and Martina are fantastic hosts. We have enjoyed the café and the restaurant in Lecci. We have had a wonderful day trips. All in all a marvellous experience – thank you!

Richard and Corrie, June 2017

We have had the most magical honeymoon here at Casa dei Mandorli. Luca and Martina's hospitality was second to none – make sure you ask if you can sample the tasty vegetables from the garden. Although we did not venture very far – we did sample a lot of beautiful Italian food. We really have had the most relaxing, fabulous honeymoon anyone would wish for and hope you also leave with that view on your mind for years to come.

Sarah and Jason, June 2017

This lovely villa epitomises Tuscany: fabulous views of the rolling countryside from the beautifully landscaped terrace and pool, peace broken only by cuckoos and crickets, and in the evening the distant lights of Siena. Cool interiors and a very comfortable bed after the heat of the day. And perfect for visiting Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and other lovely towns and villages.

Mrs Tilstone, June 2017

We wanted to leave a note to say thank you for a truly wonderful holiday – it is clear to us now that one week is not enough! There is so much to see and experience here and we have only scratched the surface! We definitely hope to be back, because there is so much more that we would love to see/taste/enjoy! Very many thanks in particular to Luca and Martina, who have been exceptionally welcoming hosts, and who could not have done more to make us feel at home!
